Fallyn had spent the plane ride over staring down at a book nd never actually reading it. He was scared. Scared of what was going to happen. All his life he'd been waiting for something fun and new to happen. Waiting to be a Watcher. And now...
He missed Toby. Missed his smile. He didn't believe the watchers. His ex-boyfriend was not dangerous. But still, he wished his lover had understood that Fallyn needed to go. He'd been waiting his whole life for this. Once the plane ride was over, he called a cab and told the driver where to go and now here he was. He stood there, looking at the door. Finally, after taking a deep breath, he walked in.
The offices were easy enough to find. Right there when you walked in. He put down his bags and dusted off his suite. He slowly lifted his hand and knocked three sharp times on the door.

Rupert was in the midst of his afternoon tea when there was a rapping at his door. Sitting the cup and saucer on the table, Giles got out of his chair and walked towards the door. He opened the heavy wooden object and looked upon the person who was standing there. "Um..Can I help you?" he questioned softly. Unsure of what was going on.

The man who opened the door was not too unlike most of the watchers. They all had the same kind of look about them. It was that look that had made Fallyn start to put on suits rather than jeans. He smiled a small sort of smile. "Mr. Giles? My name is Fallyn Langley. I've been sent from London for training... to be a watcher. They told me to report to you."

Giles nodded and smiled. "Yes, please. Do come in.' He said, moving to the side to let the young man in. 'Fallyn Langly...' he repeated closing the door behind the male. 'Oh, yes. I was faxed your information the other day. I made you a file, let me get it. Have a seat please.' Giles rushed to his filing cabinet and searched through until he found Fallyn's file. 'Ah, here we go. So, Fallyn, tell me a little about yourself."

Fallyn slowly sank down into the chair and looked around, his fingers gripping each other in his lap. He was not, by any means, sure about being here. on the one hand, it was his dream. He'd wanted to be a watcher for years because, after all, those who can't do, teach. He, as a male, had no chance of becoming a Slayer so this was the next best thing. His eyes followed Giles as he went picked up Fallyn's file. He wondered what they put inside those things. Did it say anything about Toby? Would Fallyn's Ex's obsession with magic be a black mark on Fallyn's own file?
When asked to tell a little about himself, Fallyn shrugged his shoulders. "Not much to tell," he said lamely. "Born and raised in Cardiff. Studied history at University. I met a Slayer once, when I was in highschool. That's how I found out about all of this." He paused, unsure what else Giles wanted to hear.

Giles listened to him and nodded. "What University did you attend?' He questioned. Of course, Giles already knew but he wanted to see how honest this student would be. 'And I see here you have had a hard past. Would you mind elaborating or is that a touchy subject?"

"Cambridge," he said. He wondered why that wouldn't be in his file. It seemed like the kind of thing the Watchers would bother with. He was wondering if this was all some sort of horrible test but pushed the thought aside. Even if it was a test, he was pretty sure he could pass it. With flying colors even.
When Giles brought up his past, Fallyn went, if possible, even stiffer in his chair. That was personal and Fallyn was not one to get into his personal life. But still he took a deep breathe and nodded. "Came from a family of drunks, almost got killed by a vampire when I was thirteen. Had a... a friend who wanted to be a Watcher as well but they found some dark magic books in his room. I had no idea he even had them." There, all out in the open. Except for the part about Toby being just a friend. But he didn't really feel Giles needed to know that much about his personal life.

Giles closed the file and looked at her. "I'm sorry about your past but I can assure you...you are in the right place.' Giles, took his glasses off and set them on the desk. 'I have gotten letters, phone calls, and emails from previous instructors and people who knew you best. They all say the same thing and I'm very happy to have you here.' Giles smiled.
'Now, tell me. Have you met anyone here yet. I know there aren't many students here yet but there are a couple. Hopefully, you're not secluding yourself."

He smiled his thanks when Giles said he was glad to have Fallyn here. It was good to be wanted. Strange, and odd, but still good. "I'm afraid not. You see I've only just arrived and they told me to report straight to you."
((OOC: I'm putting this thread in the order it appeared so liner-ally so that means he hasn't actually met anyone yet.))

((Okay.))
"Well, how about we get you to your room and get you situated.' Giles said, smiling. He pulled out another file out of the top drawer and opened it. 'Ah, it looks like you will be sharing a room with a...Mister Adams.' Rupert said, looking up at Fallyn. 'He's a watcher as well and a good kid. Definitely not of the norm but he has good experience and is very bright.' Giles wrote something in the file and then smiled up again. 'Ready?" he questioned, standing to his feet.

He had a roommate. Well that would certainly be interesting, wouldn't it? He stood and nodded and then thought of something else. "Excuse me, Mr. Giles," he said. "I was wondering... Do I... the council implied I would have to be watcher over an actual slayer..."

Giles smiled weakly. "Eventually, you will be watching over a slayer. That is actually going to be at the end of your third year.' He answered. 'We, meaning myself and the other staff, will be assigning slayers to watchers after the first year. They will work together and stuff over the course of the years to make sure they will be compatable. Not that I mind but why do you ask?"

Three years. He nodded at the thought. He could be ready in three years. When Giles asked why, Fallyn's eyes shot back up to him. "Oh, umm." He searched around for the right words. How did one explain one's own inner dilemma? "Just... feels a bit unreal I guess. Having to watch out for one of them. Like... it's just so much responsibility and I hope I can earn it."

Giles smiled. "Yes, well, it's not as difficult as you think.' He replied, walking towards the door. 'The relationship between watcher and slayer is unlike any I've ever seen. They have this trust that makes marriage look like a date. When you get your slayer everything will come to you with ease." Giles like giving the pep talks to his students. It made him feel like he was back with Buffy and the gang.
