Marissa Anielewicz walked right into the office without knocking. She'd grown up in area of the world were social graces were put somewhat on hold for the danger all around. She had left her native country in a hurry and not entirely by choice.
She was dressed in an odd mishmash of her military issue and civilian clothes as she'd not been able to bring over much with her. She had a olive army shirt on but unbuttoned with a teeshirt for the band BABYSHAMBLES showing underneath. A Magen David was around her neck but she'd removed her dog tags. She wore low cut jeans with a metal studded belt and rounded it all off with black steel toed boots. A small ruck sack thrown over her shoulder contained the meager belongings she had brought with her.
"Shalom...err hello" she called. Marissa's English was quite good and she spoke some French but it was going to be an adjustment going to a school in Paris with mostly American classmates. She waited for someone to acknowledge her presence.

Rupert turned from the window he was looking out of when he heard someone busting through his door. He turned and looked to see who it was. "Can I help you?" he questioned coldly.

"Marissa Anielewicz reporting for slayer duty sir" Marissa said "Are You Mr. Giles? If not I'm probably in the wrong place" she said. She'd come straight here after she's finally cleared customs at the airport and she clutched her pack with her possessions tightly but unconsciously.

Rupert frowned at the girl and walked towards the desk. He took in her appearance and nodded. "I am, indeed, Mr. Giles.' Giles motioned towards the chair. 'Have a seat, please.' He, himself, sat in the chair behind his desk. 'Well, let me first start out by saying, Welcome to Slayers' School and second, please knock before entering my office again." Giles said both with a smile on his face.

"Yes sir" Marissa said "I'm sorry if I startled you. I wasn't aware of the protocols around here" she said, and she wasn't. She didn't have any idea how tight or loose a ship they ran here she was quite new to the whole slaying thing though she hoped that her previous combat experience would prove useful.

"It's quite alright.' Giles said with a smile. 'Please, have a seat.' Rupert said again, motioning towards the chair. 'I'm Rupert Giles, headmaster, I suppose. And you're Marissa...what was your last name, I'm sorry."

"Anielewicz" Marissa sank into the chair since it seemed OK to be at ease. "I am here to learn the slaying. I have weapons and hand to hand training but little experience with Vampires" she told him.

"Yes, right.' Giles said, writing her name down. 'Well, those things will come in handy, however, we will start from scratch in training. As well as working with watchers and wiccans and other slayers. This is going to be a team training. Everyone will be doing the same things for the most part until about the midst of the second year. Then, they will be separated for a bit and then put back together.' Giles smiled at the girl. 'I'm glad you're hear though."

Marissa nodded "I'm fine by working with groups" she said. It was nice to be in a place where everyone wouldn't think she was crazy which reminded her "I was on some heavy meds. I don't think I need them but you should be aware" she believed in being direct and up front about things.

"Medications? Medications for what?' Giles really didn't need another slayer that was crazy and he had to watch 24/7. Rupert was the kind of guy that thought his slayers were responsible for saving the world then they should be able to take care of themselves.

"No, no , no!" Marissa exclaimed "I *don't* need them. Only the Israeli government had my discharged from the Military and declared mentally unfit because I believe in vampires. I think you'll agree that I was unfairly treated and don't need mental help even if most of my friends and family back home do."
