Name: Willow Rosenberg
Nicknames: Will, by most of her friends, and Red, by Faith.
Age: 24
Affiliation: The Scoobies' primary witch and computer expert/hacker
History: Willow joined Buffy in her fight against the vampires, demons, and forces of darkness when they were high school sophomores. She was a computer geek who hacked into government files for fun and had a crush on her lifetime best friend, the ever-oblivious Xander. Through the course of the next few years she became more confident, experimenting with magic and having a relationship with a guitar-playing werewolf, Oz. Despite being accepted to such prestigious schools as Yale, Harvard, and Oxford, Willow decided to join Buffy at UC Sunnydale in order to keep being a Scooby.
College was a bit of a roller coaster. Oz left and she gradually developed a relationship with Tara, a fellow witch she met in the campus Wicca group, which helped her discover that she was a lesbian. Her magic also strengthened through their connection. Unfortunately, she got addicted to magic, and her abuse of it caused Tara to leave while Willow learned to control herself. Things didn't go quite as planned. Tara was killed randomly by a wannabe Big Bad and, in her grief, Willow went over to the dark side, nearly destroying the world until Xander's yellow crayon speech reminded her that the world was still worth it. Giles brought her to England to study with a coven and properly learn to control her power.
The stirrings of the First Evil caused her to be needed back in California, so Willow nervously returned home to her friends. She was very reluctant to do magic and risk losing control again; a few times she attempted to use her power and came a little too close to the dark magicks for comfort. One of the potential Slayers, Kennedy, tricked her into going on a date, and they ended up in a relationship that lasted until after the closing of the hellmouth. In the final battle of Sunnydale, Willow used the power of the scythe to awaken all the potential Slayers, present and future. Sometime after the battle she and Kennedy began to realize that what they had wasn't real, and they decided to end it. Kennedy remained in the United States and Willow is helping Giles and Faith run the Slayers' school in Paris, teaching many of the classes in magic.
((Yeah, I got rid of the possibility of Kennedy. =P I kind of hate her. A lot.))
