Name: Basil Whitlock ("Box")
Age (between 20-24): 20 (almost 21)
Birthplace: Islington, London, UK
Birthday (Can be different from your birthday): January 23rd
Personality: Quirky. Box is the kind of kid who's very curious, but generally about all the wrong things. Rather than applying his intellect and curious towards something useful like studying biology or math or history, he tends to memorize trivial movie details or read scifi books. Even the useful knowledge he has, he doesn't really use. (Or know how to use, perhaps.) If something is important but doesn't interest him, it takes a fair amount of coercing to get him to do or learn it. He's stubborn. He's fairly personable, when he wants to be. When he doesn't, he can be abrupt to the point of rudeness.
Appearance: Tousled, sort of brownish hair. Loose, comfortable clothes. Sleepy eyes. Doesn't quite seem to have the shaving thing down yet. Usually looks like he's just woken up, or really wants to go back to sleep. His build is fairly average; not very skinny, but not muscular. (Sitting around beats working out any day.)

History (How did he/she become involved with the council?): Box comes from a Watcher family, of sorts. However, he wasn't raised to become one himself. When he was eight, his mother sent him to live with his father in America. He's lived there since, with the exception of holiday visits to his mother and half-sister. While he's always been aware of the existance of Watchers and Slayers, he only has a vague idea of what they do. All he knows about demons is what he's managed to glean from a few small volumes he stole from his mother.
After graduating high school, he's been working various jobs (mostly of the food service or retail varieties). Almost three years of work later, and with nothing to stop him from trying to join the Council anymore, he's been doing some research and found out about the new school in Paris. Though his father is somewhat aware of Watchers, Box has only told him that he's going to get some kind of job there. Sort of teenage get out and see the world thing. Which isn't totally a lie... right?
Sample RP:
(This is from a Harry Potter rp with original characters, but I can write up something new if you like.)
Despite Tristan's showy entrance, Linus failed to notice him. That is, he failed to notice until the Slytherin joined him and Lark. Well, joined Lark anyway. From that look, it was painfully obvious that Linus was just an innocent bystander. And, like an innocent bystander, he was soon caught in the social crossfire of Tristan and Lark.
Though he didn't know their history with each other, it was perfectly obvious that Tristan wanted Lark to be his girlfriend. And it also became horribly, unmistakably clear that Lark was going to use Linus as her way out.
She had kissed him. Just a tiny peck on the cheek really, but Linus immediately flushed bright red. He wasn't stupid enough to think it was anything more than a strategic kiss, but he couldn't help himself. He hoped no one else had been looking in their direction and happened to see it. All he needed was to have half the school teasing him. Worse yet, if he didn't play along with Lark now, he would bet that she could have half the school making this year absolutely miserable for him. So, he did his best to smile, as if the kiss had just been a pleasant surprise. "Yeah, nice to meet you Tristan."
Joss rocks my socks.
